A sign of life

Hello everyone!

You haven’t heard or read anything from me for a long time. After spending a few months abroad last year and having a new family member almost immediately afterwards, it was actually quite difficult for me to indulge in my hobby. Problems with finding and keeping appointments actually brought me to other interests, especially (solo) board games and painting miniatures (hopefully to be able to play solo skirmishers soon) were not exactly conducive. Now I’m slowly feeling my way back to roleplaying and hope to reduce my pile of shame. The fact that my daughter is developing a similar fascination with dice and their uses and her desire to play Dad’s stuff will hopefully benefit me. So, don’t be surprised if the focus sometimes shifts to family-friendly games.

Avatar Legends – Conclusion „The Vanishing Act“

We played The Vanishing Act adventure included in the Avatar Legends core rulebook yesterday. No one in the group was previously familiar with the game, with some already having experience playing Powered by the Apocalypse (PbtA) games. I’m not going to give away what happened in the adventure, I want to share what we experienced about the game itself.

After a successful start to the New Year I wanted to stay with Horror as a theme and so we have a played a session of the new Achtung! Cthulhu edition. I have to say that I found it quite difficult to find players. Nevertheless, we experienced an exciting adventure off the coast of England.

Shiver – Conclusion “On the Way in the Bohemian Forest”

I still have a conclusion to submit from our Shiver adventure that we played some time ago. This was the first quest I made up for Shiver myself, the previous sessions I ran were with official adventures. For me there were also a few new insights as a game master.
